Ted venners

Theodore (Ted) Venners is the founder of KFx Inc., now Evergreen Energy Inc. Mr. Venners began his business career as special assistant to the Governor of South Dakota, after which he formed his own real estate sales and development company. He also was the founding partner of Fort Union Mine Partnership, which was purchased by Compagnie Francaise des Petroles (TOTAL Petroleum). President Reagan appointed Mr. Venners as a charter member to the National Coal Council, on which he served for eight years. Mr. Venners has also served on the Heritage Foundation’s Committee for Federal Coal Leasing. He formed K-FuelTM Partnership in 1984.

Mr. Venners also served as Vice-Chairman of C-Lock Technologies, a subsidiary of Evergreen Energy formed in 1996. C-Lock Technology is a web-based provider of solutions for quantifying and verifying Green House Gas (GHG) emissions. He currently handles C-Lock’s corporate legislative matters and activity in Washington DC.
